Slug Slime started with a happy accident.
When Los Bagels opened in 1984, a bagel machine malfunction produced something that looked more like a banana slug than a bagel. Instead of throwing it away, we covered it with roasted onion, garlic, and crunchy seeds. The Slug was born and became one of our most popular bagels.
Customers kept asking for the extra topping, which became affectionately known as Slug Slime. Now we bottle it so you can put that same crispy, savory mix on just about anything.
