Los Bagels, Arcata's beloved bagel, bakery & cafe for 35 years now offers their historic bungalow just around the corner! It has the perfect location combined with comfort and charm to make for an incredible visit to Arcata. This 1930's historic home has been completely renovated inside and out to maintain it's character yet provide new contemporary comfort. 

The kitchen is fully stocked (Los Bagels granola included) for easy meal preparation and is a blast for cooking on the restored antique stove. Head 2 blocks over to Arcata's Farmer's Market or go to the Co-Op for delicious local fare to enjoy. The small table and chairs make it fun to hang out while cooking. The dining room with a table and seating for 6 is the best room in the house with large picture windows for fun people watching in downtown Arcata! The spacious living room is filled with natural light, offers plenty of great lounging space with 2 sofas (1 sleeper sofa) and a pair of leather barrel chairs plus includes a large smart T.V. for easy entertainment. Hardwood floors and a faux fireplace add to the ambiance. The bedrooms both have new, comfortable King beds and garden views (landscaping in progress this Spring). The bathroom has a new retro style black and white tiled combination tub/shower with a rain shower head. Head downstairs for fun in the old basement with a ping-pong table, pair of bicycles and a card table and chairs for hanging out. Additional bikes can be rented all around downtown Arcata.

The bungalow also serves as a local art gallery for renown local artist, Joyce Jonte's beautiful watercolors. Each piece is one of a kind and is available for sale. Purchasing her art as a reminder of a memorable vacation is a real treasure. 

Entertainment & Adventure Galore - Walk just across the street to The Griffin for delicious cocktails and bar snacks or stroll down to the Plaza for a wide offering of bars, restaurants, music venues and movie theaters. Everything is just minutes away. Want to get outside and explore? Drive just 5 minutes to Arcata Community Forest for miles and miles of hiking and biking trails in the Redwoods. Visit Arcata's local beach, Mad River Beach for endless walking on the sand or venture out to Mal'el Dunes for beautiful beach vistas and hiking. Bird-watching is also a favorite past time at nearby Arcata Bird Sanctuary and Marsh with a variety of walking and cycling paths. 

A new lawn is growing in the backyard and makes for a fun place to toss a frisbee. Barbecue is stored in the garage, please pull onto driveway when using it. Picnic table coming soon for outdoor dining.
